Names of Cats From Work That Put Certain Songs or Pop Culture into My Head (Part Two)
(Part one here)
- Boots (Boots or Hearts by The Tragically Hip)
- Sage (Wild Sage by The Mountain Goats) (she has huge eyes and makes THE BEST SAD FACE when you have to put her back in her room, so when I look at her and she is making her sad eyes and I get this song in my head it is pretty much the saddest thing in the world)
- Misery (Misery by Green Day)
- Nathan (he is very vocal, and so sometimes I pretend he is musing about what his power is, as per the Misfits character, and say (in an Irish accent) [SPOILERS], “You’re immortal, silly cat!”)
- Layla (Layla by Eric Clapton) (Also: I named one of my raccoons at wildlife rehab Layla, and would sing this to her)
- Little Bit (This is what Spike calls Dawn on Buffy. She had a brother named Morpheus so I thought it might actually be a Buffy reference, and asked her owners about it. It wasn’t, but they were Buffy fans and got what I meant. SO.)
- Fatty (You’re the One For Me, Fatty by Morissey)
